I was editing the Peculiar Purple Pieman character page, and I noticed two lines that raised my eyebrow:

"wherein he plotted to destroy and take over the whole world and convert it into Porcupine Peak, killing everyone in the process"

"He has caused World War Berry, the closest instance of him destroying the whole world"

Now, I haven't really watched the 2003 series, but I'm pretty sure there's no mentions of Pieman commiting mass murder and starting a war, right?

I grew up with Berry Bitty city, and now I wish this was an episode:

Okay so I was looking for that one motorbike(?) playset from the Argentina line and none of the links to the website that seems to have the most stuff on foreign ssc doll lines (everythingblueberrymuffin, also known as Amy's everything blueberry muffin site) seem to work for me anymore? I've tried multiple links and the browser just says "this site can't be reached" & the server ip address can't be found. I've tried switching to data & that didn't work. This is really bad since not only have the many photos of very rare dolls & playsets potentially been lost (iirc this was one of the few websites that covered the rainbow ribbon series from the Brazilian line), but as I've mentioned before that page had what's probably the only known photo of the doll Vanillita. That and I don't know how else to find that motorbike playset. Unless there's a way we can contact the owner we probably can't host her images here, so now I'm worried since idk what other websites have good enough collections (I can't word things right now augh-)

I just got word from an anonoymus source that Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City will get a live action movie adaptation by Wildbrain.

This movie will focus on Strawberry celebrating her birthday in the Berryworks, but a new villain makes everyone forget about her existence, all but her berry besties: Orange, Lemon, Huck, Raspberry, Lime and Blueberry.

Wildbrain is looking for actresses aged 13-16 to play the berries in Live Action.... and that they also plan to start filming the film in 2025. They also hope for a global release and hopes that the movie will be successful enough to give us a Live Action series for Berry in the Big City.

It seems like BitBC doesn’t have any merchandise, and it seems successful enough, so does anyone have any thoughts as to why there’s no merchandise yet? I’d love to have a doll of Blueberry Muffin or Lime Chiffon or anyone really

I need to ask, but on the character pages I see various images of the 2003-2008 characters from books, but are those books still available to purchase? As I am quite curious about them

The reason why so many parents don’t match their themes (e.g. Cherry Blossom) is to show union between couples, and they decide to visually take on a single theme, reflected in their clothing and hair color, as for siblings, not really sure, and we can assume the children of those couples just magically look like the unified theme

On this day, 44 years ago, strawberry made her first animated debut in "the world of strawberry shortcake". This was the berry first of the 6 1980s scc specials, which would eventually lead to the 2003 cartoons, that brought us to the berry bitty adventures, and ended us up in berry in the big city. Next year would mark the 45th anniversary of the special (and the franchise overall).

I don't have pictures right now (and also this got kinda long) so bear with me

So I'm looking for Strawberry Shortcake books from the 80s because why not and I come across 4 in particular with a rather different art style than most 80s illustrations. These books were illustrated be Mercedes Llimona and were made while Plum was still a boy.

When I looked at the cover for The Adventures of Strawberry Shortcake and Her Friends, I noticed 2 characters that I didn't recognize: a kid in a green hat, and someone I would've mistaken for Raspberry Tart if she weren't in the foreground.

When looking through the pages of this and the other 3 books, I noticed 2 other characters: a blonde girl in a blue bonnet & dress, & a boy in a red shirt with black polka dots.

There was at least one more I found in the book of Mother Goose rhymes; specifically, the pages about the old woman who lives in a shoe. This one honestly just looks like Peppermint Fizz with way messier hair. On that page there was also what looked like a blonde girl in blue at the top of the shoe, who's probably just the same girl as the one with the bonnet, but she looks smaller so I'm not sure. Maybe that was just a weird way of trying to show perspective. I don't know.

While I'm certain that the messy haired kid & the small girl in blue (assuming she is a separate character from the other girl in blue) don't have names, and the boy in red probably doesn't have one either since so far I've only seen him appear again in The Seasons with Strawberry Shortcake (which doesn't seem to have a real story besides talking about what the kids do each season), I was wondering if any of these characters had names or if they were just filler characters. I've listened to a reading of the Winter That Would Not End and none of them were named there, & so far none of the pages for Adventures I've seen gave them names, and I find this very frustrating for some reason. God I wish I had enough money or could find a scan or something of Adventures (& maybe the other books) or something so I could get a better look at these random kids' designs and/or see if any of them had actual names. From the looks of it I doubt it, but now I kinda wanna make ocs out of them.

Now I'm wondering if any of the other books (not the comics I know they did) had exclusive characters. I kinda doubt it but it'd be neat I guess.
