Strawberry Shortcake Wiki

There are very few policies which apply across all Fandom. These can be found on the Community Central at Community:Category:Policy.

This is the Strawberry Shortcake Wiki Policy. All users, registered or unregistered, must contribute to this wiki by these rules or there will be consequences. If you or a user you know has questions or a problem of some sort, ask the admins.

General Rules

  1. As per FANDOM's guidelines and the law of COPPA, you must be 13 years or older to make an account here. If anyone is found to be under the minimum age requirement, they will be permanently banned.
  2. No vandalism. A punishment will be given depending on the severity.
  3. Cussing, swearing, obscene language, or profanity of any sort is not allowed. (Even if it's abbreviated!)
  4. No spamming on the discussions forum, comments, talk pages or an user's message wall.
  5. Do not create inappropriate comments.
  6. No dissing anyone (including yourself).
  7. Do not edit just for the sake of editing. Just because you have more edits or badges than another user, that doesn't mean you are more important than they are. Perfecting the structure of sentences and paragraphs and correcting spelling and punctuation errors is one thing, but do not edit pages just to change one word into another word that means the same thing, however many times it is used on that page.
  8. Before editing someone's profile, please ask permission from that user. After editing that user's profile with his/her permission, please add a summary saying you had permission.
  9. Do not beg for admin or chat mod rights if you haven't done anything to deserve them.
  10. Don't mini-mod. If you see a user breaking a rule, don't tell them, tell an admin, and they will take care of it.
  11. Multiple accounts are not allowed. If you make a second account after being banned, you will be found out and the duplicate account(s) will be banned forever.
  12. Please don't harass or aggravate spammers and vandals as it only incites them to cause more damage.
  13. Be kind and respect all other users, especially admins, who have the authority to block anyone who gets out of line.
  14. Do not add fanon content to this wiki. This includes fanon characters, episodes, merchandise, dubs, concepts and etc.
    • Also, do not try to convince people that your creations are canon. This is considered lying, and only information revealed by the creators of Strawberry Shortcake is canon.
    • If you want to share fanon content you made, post it in your blog or in the discussions. Not by making a page.
  15. Keep it civil. Do not make personal attacks on other people. If you need to criticize another user’s argument, do so without attacking them as a person. Do not use bigoted language, including slurs that degrade another person or group of people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc.
  16. Be a productive member of the wiki. Contribute to the wiki in line with the established processes and conventions. Need help? Ask an administrator! Disrupting the wiki with “edit warring” over differing opinions of a topic with another user or group of users is not productive.
  17. Do not engage in excessive self-promotion. The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand. It is NOT a free place to advertise your related website, YouTube channel, blog, social media account, etc. Have a question about whether your link would be welcome? Ask an administrator!
  18. Do not harass other users. If somebody asks you to stop posting certain content on their wall, respect their wishes. It is their wall.
  19. Follow the community guidelines for formatting. When a community has established formatting, it’s important to adhere to that, especially when spoiler content is involved.
  20. When you start a new article, do not start with just a few words. Please give it a proper layout.
  21. Do not rename articles to silly names.
  22. Do not add false information to articles.
  23. Do not write your own opinion on pages.
  24. Do not add gibberish text to articles.

Image Rules

  1. Do not upload images that are unrelated to the franchise.
  2. Do not upload images from other sites without permission.
  3. Images must be saved in either .png, .jpg, or .gif. Any other file types are not allowed.
  4. Do not upload blurry or poor-quality images.
  5. Name all images properly, with character names in the file name.
  6. Do not upload really small images.
  7. Do not upload fan images without an admin's consent.
  8. Do not upload duplicated images, unless you have a better quality of the previous image.
  9. Do not upload watermark images.
  10. Do not upload disturbing/NSFW/horror content.
  11. Do not leave spaces in between when naming an image.
  12. When you upload an image from a certain episode, make sure you paste it into the gallery of the episode's page.

Video Rules

  1. Do not upload duplicate videos.
  2. Avoid uploading videos with watermarks or any similar features.
  3. Do not upload "YouTube Poops" or any other types of fan-made videos. The only videos allowed here are official episodes or clips that are not edited in any way.

Communication Rules

All of the following rules (except when stated) apply to message walls, article and blog comments, and article talk pages.

  1. Please refrain from talking about anything unrelated to the Strawberry Shortcake franchise. This wiki is about Strawberry Shortcake, not about other media.
  2. No content except vandalism, broken links, and profanity may be removed from any user's message wall.
  3. Message walls and article talk pages are there for discussing changes to the article, not for a discussion about the topic in question.
  4. Old comments with resolved issues or that are no longer relevant are subject to deletion to keep the pages clear.
  5. Don't rewrite other users' messages.
  6. Don't answer messages left for other users.
  7. Leaving messages on your own wall is considered spam. Doing so is not "talking to everyone" as no one gets a notification saying that you've left the message.
  8. When adding an image not from this wiki on a message, please make sure you add pixels so the image won't come out huge.
  9. Don't remove threads, unless they are spam.
  10. Do not remove a warning message on your message wall. You will receive another warning message for removing warnings.
  11. No opinions on a certain character/song/show/film are allowed in article talk pages. Please post them on your user page.

Admin Policy

  1. Do not abuse your admin powers.
  2. An admin is considered inactive after not editing for a year and will be demoted.
  3. Only delete pages that are unnecessary, spam, or unrelated to the wiki.
  4. Do not block users directly, give them a warning first, depending on the situation. You can block them directly if the user has caused a big problem.
  5. If you're inactive for too long, you will lose adminship and will be placed as rollback. If you join and want your admin status back, ask first, and you'll have admin powers back.
  6. When giving users a block, please give a block no longer than two weeks for the first offense. If the user's been previously blocked, increase the block time.

Bureaucrat Policy

  1. Demote admins if they have abused their power or have been inactive for too long.
  2. No "Friendship promotions."
  3. If you're the only active bureaucrat and want to demote yourself, please find someone to give them bureaucrat status, and then demote yourself.

Have fun and Happy Editing!
